Protein Crystal Harvesting
Square One's Universal Micromanipulation Robot explores the use of a Machine Vision system in order to locate crystals, which can then be quantified to determine
suitability for harvesting. The system is equipped with a video camera capable of capturing magnified video images in a well of interest at a rate of 30 frames per second. These images can be transfered to image analysis software, which has tools that can locate and evaluate objects within the well.
